We're cancan pickles&ferments — a small pickles brand based in Belgrade. We collect only what we need to deliver your jars and (if you opted in) tell you when new flavors drop. Nothing more.

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect:
- Name
- Delivery address (for couriers) or pickup location preference
- Phone number (for delivery coordination)
- Email (for order confirmation and updates)

When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email and (optionally) name.

We do not collect or store payment card details — we accept cash on delivery only.

How we use it

- To prepare, deliver, and confirm your order
- To send you a heads-up the morning of delivery
- To respond to your questions
- To send you newsletter updates (only if you signed up — you can unsubscribe anytime)

Who has access

We share the minimum data necessary with:
- Shopify — our store platform (order data, customer info)
- Our courier — name, address, and phone for delivery only
- Fastmail — our email provider

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties beyond what's needed to fulfill your order.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies (cart, checkout) and analytics cookies (to understand how the site is used). You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your data as long as we have an active relationship with you. After 3 years of inactivity, we delete it — except where Serbian or EU law requires us to keep it longer (e.g., accounting records).

Your rights

You can:
- Ask what data we hold about you
- Correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Withdraw newsletter consent (one click — unsubscribe link in every email)
- File a complaint with the Serbian data protection authority (Poverenik za informacije od javnog značaja i zaštitu podataka o ličnosti)

Children

We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think we have, email us — we'll delete it.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a fresh "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be announced by email.
