Pickled cucumbers with rakija

This is the one each Serbian uncle would side-eye and then quietly eat the whole jar of. Unapologetically tart, weirdly delicate. One jar disappears faster than you think. Dunja (quince) rakija, alcohol removed, so the flavor stays but the buzz doesn't.

Pairs with: sauvignon blanc or viognier, dry gin, spritz, strawberry kombucha. And rakija, of course!

Ingredients: cucumber, brine (water, wine vinegar, dealcoholized dunja rakija, sugar, salt), garlic, mint, coriander, mustard seeds. May contain sulfites.
